Stephanie is a licensed professional counselor and nationally certified counselor who completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees at Shippensburg University in psychology and counseling both with Honors. Stephanie has worked in a variety of positions at Shippensburg University in their career and counseling center, including Interim Assistant Director. Stephanie's passion has been private practice where she can focus on her clients needs, aiming towards a successful treatment goal.
Stephanie utilizes an integrated, strength-based therapeutic approach that is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and a solution oriented approach which relies on a strong therapeutic alliance while encouraging compassion. Her specialties include anxiety and depression working with clients adjusting to significant life change (such as transitions to or from university/education and employment/career). She also has experience in successfully treating depression/bipolar disorders, trauma/abuse history, anger/impulsivity, codependency, self-esteem, women's issues, co-occurring disorders.
