Licensed Therapist in Wyomissing PA

"I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist in Pennsylvania with over 10 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families of every age group.  In addition to therapy, I also have experience conducting various types of psychological assessments.  I am trained in the Gottman method when working with couples which I very much enjoy.  I also have extensive experience in working with a wide variety of diagnoses including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, self-esteem/self-confidence, identity issues, body dysmorphia, ADHD, and adjustment disorders.

My therapeutic style is mostly Cognitive Behavioral; however, I am also somewhat eclectic in my approach as I often incorporate elements of Existentialism, Family Systems, Humanistic, Psychodynamic, Gestalt, and Supportive therapy depending on each client's specific needs.  I am a very interactive, compassionate, and friendly therapist who believes that the therapeutic relationship is the most important element in determining a successful treatment outcome.  I envision treatment as a collaborative process between therapist and client with evidence-based tactics and measurable goals.  Thus, I will routinely check in with clients to ensure that the methods being utilized in each and every session feel helpful, purposeful, and beneficial to them and that our goals remain aligned.

In addition to being a clinical psychologist, I am also the mother of two wonderful daughters, ages 16 and 12, and my greatest joy in life is being a "cheer mom", attending their All-Star cheerleading competitions and routing them on.

I am aware that reaching out for help/support can be very difficult for many clients and this is why I believe it is extremely important that I make each person feel as comfortable as possible from the very first intake session.  I see each client as an individual first with many wonderful traits and qualities separate from a diagnostic label and do not lump clients into categories. Clients should never feel defined by their diagnosis.  I look forward to working with you and becoming a part of your support network."

Insights Into What I Do and Why I do it
There has been no greater accomplishment and at the same time, , humbling experience in developing and working in a tremendous practice like Advanced Counseling and Testing Solutions (ACTS).  ACTS is a unique practice offering counseling, testing and adjunctive treatments like Neurofeedback and Alpha Stim (CES), but we buck the normal trend of having a large group practice.  We strive to provide a private and comfortable experience in an environment that is inviting and accepting; that is what an exclusive practice provides; all of the many benefits but limited "comfortability." Your counseling or testing and all forms of treatment will be done respectfully, comfortably and conducted by clinicians that care about you and the progress and investment you make in therapy.  ACTS, also has team members with a broad spectrum of specialties in treatment and age range domains. So, if you are considering any of my/our services, please give us a call and you will understand the message we are sending.
